Riding
We can accommodate hourly, half day and full day treks all year round.
Evening treks can be arranged in the summer months. Full day treks and trail rides will
usually include a lunchtime visit to one of the local Inns, where you can enjoy a pub lunch.
Picnic rides can also be arranged.
Hacks & Trail Rides:
Hacking & Trail Rides can be arranged for the more experienced riders who like a slightly
faster pace and for the more adventurous trail rides lasting several days can be
arranged across the wilder parts of the Black Mountains, abandoned by most, except
for sheep and wild ponies, where you can cover terrain not normally reachable within one day.
Clothing:
For your safety and comfort we recommend that you wear suitable footwear i.e. shoes or boots
with a smooth sole and a low heel and clothing should be loose fitting and comfortable.
Waterproofs and gloves are advisable.
Important:
Horse riding is classified as a high-risk sport and it is advisable to seek independent
personal accident insurance if so required. Although riders are covered by insurance,
we (the owners) are under no legal obligation in respect of loss, damage or injury, at the
same time every precaution for your welfare and safety will be taken.
